Stone stamp pads are used where high quality, non-smear impressions are required, such as printed circuit boards, machine parts, aerospace & aircraft parts.

The stone pad is contained in a corrosive resistant container and sits on top of a felt pad. Capillary action brings an even constant flow of ink from the felt pad through the porous surface of the stone. A thin layer of ink on the surface of the stone prevents your stamp from picking up excessive ink.

Flip the stone over and the capillary action re-inks the surface of the stone.

Re-inking instructions:

Remove the stone from the container, ink the felt pad, and then put stone back in container. The felt pads acts as the ink reservoir. Prime the stone by adding ink to surface, so that the capillary action will keep the surface of the stone wet, and add more ink to felt if needed.

If over-inked, blot surplus ink from felt.

If the surface of stone becomes dry due to prolonged air exposure, merely flip stone over and add additional ink only when stamp impressions starts to show a lighter impression.
